The Joy of Being Me!

An interdisciplinary thematic unit on being me for kindergarten As we begin this unit on –ALL ABOUT ME” it is important to remember that one of the most important words that kindergarten students will learn to read and write is their name. Their identity gives them a sense of belonging, and helps them build relationships with others. Developing an understanding of –self” is essential for developing a greater appreciation of others. Students will communicate with people (family, etc) around them and begin to explore how they relate to their world.
