What You Siege Is What You Get! or ... Medieval Manors, Monastery Monks: Military Might, and Maid Marian (Joust Do It!)

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary Thematic Unit for 6th Grade on the Study of Medieval Europe. From a historical point of view, the Middle Ages are also called the Dark Ages becaue it was thought that little learning took place and many old skills were lost. This unit will introduce sixth grade students to the feudal system, knighthood, castles, medieval architecture, the importance of the Roman Catholic church, music, food, and other aspects of Medieval life.
