An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on Spanish-speaking Families What is a family? How do different cultures survive and thrive as families? This unit will explore the different structures and functions of a family. Many important aspects of Hispanic culture will be explored, with special attention to the effects of Immigration on the family unit. Basic Spanish vocabulary for family, describing people, and some jobs/chores will be introduced.
