An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit Examining the Historical, Political, Artistic, Scientific, and Social Issues of the 1940's The 1940's were a turning point for America, both at home and abroad. In order to understand our place in the world today, students need a firm understanding of the events, which both shattered and shaped our societies and institutions during this century. Topics which will be covered include technology, scientific advances, cultural changes, politics, etc.
