A Rose By Any Oter Name..... or How Geography Encompasses Our Lives

An interdisciplinary, primary, thematic unit on the suses of simple geographic tools. Due to daily events occurring in parts of the worldt that was once half way on the other side of the globe, new information is being brought into our living rooms daily by T.V. and satellites from outer space. Students will recognize the need for learning about maps, globes, and directions so that they can locate places near and far that affect them daily.
