An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Study of the First Spanish/European Novel - Don Quijote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. Miguel de Cervantes Saavedras' Don Quixote de la Mancha is an important novel in literary history, not only because it is the first such piece written in Europe but also because of the social implications of its content encompassing religion, politics, and class division. The students will have a better understanding of these issues as they relate them to their culture.
