An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Study of American Perspectives from 1800-1855 Philosophies and religious views are shaped by the perspectives of people. Consequently, society and government are shaped by the perspectives of the people in power and their constituents. Perspectives determine action and affect all aspects of life, from marriage to politics to hobbies. It is essential that students analyze perspectives so they may be able to distinguish the facts from the perspective presented in a literary or oratory work, resulting in a mature and informed citizen that is capable of appropriately contributing to society.
