All Men Are Created Equal..." "Except Those Who Walk on Two Legs". "I Never Met a Man I Didn't Like".
An integrated, interdisciplinary upperclassmen study of prejudice and discrimination in America from the past to the present. This unit was designed to provide secondary students with an opportunity to study America's struggle with prejudice - an opinion formed without taking the time or care to judge fairly. With all the legislation during the last 50 years, the U.S. continues to face prejudice of some kind today. For our society known as the melting pot, students must understand that they all face prejudice of some kind, which controls the success of their freedom as well as the success of their country.
