An Interdisciplinary, integrated, thematic lesson on the Mississippi River for Middle School. River systems have provided a geographical and ecological framework for the evolutions of human societies. This interdisciplinary and integrated unit is designed to give the student a basic understanding of human involvement with a river's contribution to economics, history, literature and physical science to its dependent peoples.
