An integrated, interdisciplinary thematic unit on American Struggles and Dreams for Grade Eight This unit examines what has become a basic American Dream- equality - and the struggle of various groups to realize that dream. Using an American history framework, students investigate literary works throughout our nation's history. Scientific explorations include the study of biomes as a critical component of the environment, which helped determine where people lived.
