An Ode to Ancient Greece: "An Odyssey Through Ancient Greece - We are now what they were then"

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on Ancient Greece Much of what we have and where we are today is the result of the contributions and influences of Ancient Greeks. From art and architecture to literature, philosophy, and government, Ancient Greeks played a dominant role in influencing societies over the last 2,000 years. In order to understand where we came from and where we are going, it is important to make the connections from early civilizations to our world today. As a result, students will identify Greek contributions, explain their significance, apply concepts to current society, analyze developments and experiences, and finally, synthesize their discoveries of Ancient Greek influences.
