An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic unit of Ancient Indian Culture India is a highly distinctive culture. As a result of its geography, this region provides much to study. For example, the development of the Himalayan Mountain range created a sub-continent, isolating India from other ancient cultures. This isolation impacted India's culture, trade, and development. Moreover, Buddhism and Hinduism are two of the world's major religions, which originated in the isolated Ancient India, and later moved into other Asian cultures. These religions have influenced the world greatly throughout history.
