An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on Animal Adaptation This unit is designed for fourth grade students to become aware of how much animals adapt to their environment in order to survive. Students will become familiar with instinct and learned behaviors as well as how man plays an important role in the balance and survival of all species.
