An Integrated, Interdisciplinary Thematic Sixth Grade Unit of Instruction of Kansas: Past to Present The unit is the first of four untist designed to be a study of Kansas. This unit is an overview of Kansas covering its history to the present. The Unit is designed to help students understand and appreciate how Kansas developed into the state it is today. It will help them develop an awareness of how events and attitudes of the past impact the present.
