An Integrated, Interdisciplinary Study of engineers and engineering practices relating to daily life In the West Michigan area manufacturing is the number one employer. Because of this large economic base, it is important that students are exposed to the career opportunities available in the field of engineering and manufacturing. This interdisciplinary, integrated thematic unit is designed to give students an opportunity to explore a variety of diverse, multi-cultural, academic activities that lead to a broad range of career opportunities in manufacturing and engineering aligning with state standards.
