An integrated K-3 Unit on friendship Friends and family are the core to a young student's life experiences. Bridging the gap between friends, family, self, and school is important to social, emotional, and academic growth. Friends share experiences and ideas and help each other understand things. The social skills learned through maintaining and making friendships are used throughout life. Without friends life as we know it would not be possible.
