An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic 4th Grade Unit on Immigration and Migration to California California has been the destination for waves of immigrants from other countries and migrants from other parts of the United States. Through completing this unit, students will increase their understanding of others from different cultural ethnic groups, knowledge about the contributions of diverse groups in California, and an appreciation of the factors attracting others to this most populous state.
