Can you hear me now?
An integrated interdisciplinary thematic unit on sound. Ours is a noisy world, and the variety of sounds is both wonderful and terrible. Conversely, the absence of sound holds wonder and fear for humans. Sound is a kind of energy made that lets you hear. Sound is made when things vibrate or move back and forth and cause the bones in the ear to vibrate allowing people to hear. They are transmitted from one place to another in waves. Students will gain an understanding of what sound is, how sounds vary and travel and how different sounds are made.
