An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on communications in the 21st century. Communication is foundational to all areas of life/learning that begins as a means to meet basic needs and grows with technology and creativity. This unit provides an overview of communication in the 21st century and a look at possibilities for the future. It takes students from an examination of the basic human need to communicate to a look at mass communication. By completing this unit students will communicate effectively in various situations through various media.
