An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit for Gifted Third and Fourth Graders Examining the Effects of Changes in our Society From the Past and Present With Possibilities for the Future Change is inevitable and can be a new, refreshingly different experience or one that limits or restricts. Change implies making either an essential difference often amounting to a loss of original identity or a substitution of one thing for another. When students recognize the challenges and possibilities offered by change, they can better utilize this pervasive certainty of life to their advantage.
