Clint Eastwood's "Dirty Harry" - "I know what you're thinking 'Did he fire six or only five.' Feeling Lucky OR When Numbers Really Matter"

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on Number Systems Students will develop an understanding of the number system beginning with integers and rational numbers. Real world relationships, data interpretation and processes involving positive and negative numbers will be developed with algebraic methods and axioms. Basic computations with integers, rationals and irrationals will be examined and expanded to form a basis for understanding problems and equations.
