Colonists in the Hands of an Angry God: How Prynne-ciples and Crucibles Forged a Nation's Literature.

  • $5.50

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on Early American literature and how this literature reflects the history and culture that shaped a nation. Early American literature can be divided into 3 subgroups: literature written by northern colonial Puritans, literature written by those dwelling on or near southern plantations, and literature created by Native Americans. Combined, these literary sources not only provide great insight into the reasons why America was colonized and how it developed into a separate entity, but also provide great insight into the contemporary values and culture of the United States.
