COWDY, Y'ALL! The Story of Cattle in Texas

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Study of the Cattle Industry in Texas à or "History on the Hoof" The cattle industry is an important part of the economy and the students' culture of Texas today. Analyzing this unit will help to become knowledgeable about the beginnings of the cattle industry and how it effects our lives today. This area in our history has effected our art, recreation, food, music, literature, and film industries. The students will be able to gain an understanding of and have an appreciation for this knowledge through this unit.
