An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic 3rd Grade Study of Flight From the days of da Vinci to today's astronaut, flight has inspired the dreams of inventors, adventurers, business people, storytellers, and children of all ages. Through this unit, students will learn about the contributions to flight made by various people. They will also gain historical knowledge that will allow them to understand the importance of flight throughout history. Students will discover through the scientific process the underlying principles of aerodynamics.
