An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on the Civil War and Arkansas. The Civil War defined America as a nation. The citizens of the United States experienced a division of the harshest kind during the Civil War Era: of the mind, of the family, the states, and eventually of the nation. This unit will include aspects involving Arkansas in the war.
