Don't "Moose" With Mother Nature ... or An "A-moosing" Unit on Alaska's Largest Ungulate
An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Middle School Unit on Moose Moose are important community resources in Alaska - nutritionally, economically, visually, and spiritually. Community members are concerned about moose populations because changes directly affect them. It is important that students understand the science and politics behind management decisions, and realize that as adults they will share in the responsibility for decisions made. It is also important that customary uses remain part of our local tradition.
