An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Exploration of Apartheid The struggle of a nation's people in trying to overcome the oppression that resulted from Apartheid rule is similar in many respects to the transition a young adult experiences during the process of becoming an adult. This unit will explore the path South Africa took to independence and how it relates to the larger issues of the transitional stages of life.
