Ellipses and Parabolas and Hyperbolas, Oh Why?

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on conic sections, visual arts, career applications, and daily life Students will learn how to write equations for each conic section. They will learn how to graph each conic section. They will be able to solve systems of quadratic equations algebraically and graphically. They will learn how the conic sections relate to various careers, basic needs, and leisure activities.
