An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on Islam. Exploring a journey back in time to the Arabian Peninsula allows students to understand the importance of how Islam became a religion. This will enable the students to understand World Religions, conflict, and issues of modern day connections to the past. It is essential for American students to be able to interpret cultural differences/backgrounds to ensure understanding of our world today. (e.g. Our battle with Iraq)
