
Families - The Waltons to Murphy Brown, Mr. Fluffy, where are you?
An integrated, interdisciplinary study examining the FAMILY as a basic unit of society. Families are a basic unit of society. Each individual is a member of a family structure. It is probable that students will experience transition in their family structure throughout their lifetime. In this class, students will examine their own family situations, and gain insight into coping mechanisms and how a greater understanding of family relationships can enrich their lives. Students will encounter a variety of situations in which family structures are changing. They will journey through time, drawing comparisons and conclusions, examining modern-day application and researching family structure as it has changed.
