An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on Character Education This unit is important because it helps the Prekindergarten student develop a positive self-concept; as well as, it helps the Prekindergarten student to take greater responsibility for their own behavior. The unit teaches the social skills needed to interact positively with their family, friends, and environment.
