FOLLOW MY LEAD

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on Lord of the Flies and Leadership This unit is important in making students aware of and thinking about how literature often mirrors life and the life changing effects of this process. The essential concepts of this unit are a literary and historical investigation into the various personas of leadership, how cultural values are influenced by the environment including physical, political, and personal and the effect on populace involved. It will focus on how these areas influence the choices both leaders and followers make and the impact those choices have on the society and the culture as a whole.
