An Interdisciplinary Thematic Unit on Florida's Historical Highlights Florida history is the overall Social Studies theme of fourth grade This unit employs an integrated thematic approach for 4th grade students to receive an overall view of historical highlights of Florida. All of the Florida GLE's (grade level expectations) for Social Studies explore the geographical, economic, social and political themes of Florida history.
