An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on the History of Change from 1870's to 1990's Due To Inventors and Inventions in the United States This unit on inventors and their inventions is important to the growth of our nation and to the increase in the quality of our lives. Students will learn about common characteristics of diverse inventors such as their courage, creativity, nonconformity, and perseverance. It is imperative that students recognize the importance of nurturing these characteristics to preserve the continued process of invention.
