From Bust To Boom Gramp's and Grammy's Excellent Adventure

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on the Decade of the 1940's The decades of the 1940's is a time period mostly forgotten except for studies on World War II, but it is a time of so much more. It is a time of transition from a shy, depressed country of the 1930's to a major, global nation of the cold war of the 1950's. World War II, the "A" Bomb, and the emergence of the military/industrial complex changed the way Americans looked at home life, technology, and the industrial world. Students will see how all these facts and events have affected life, as they know it, during the last 50 years.
