From Deadheads to Pre-Meds: Beavis and Butthead Go To College What Inquiring Minds Want To Know!
An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit Exploring The Foundations of Learning and the Processes and Strategies for Acquiring and Applying Knowledge The processes and strategies of learning are vital to the potential success of each student in completing their high school and post-high school education, pursuing a career and contributing to a quality life. Each student accesses knowledge in a variety of unique ways. These individual styles of learning should be discovered, practiced, and applied in order to maximize each student's ability to learn. Employers report that employees often lack the skills necessary to succeed in the work place. Schools should teach the knowledge and skills necessary to assist students in attaining respect from customers and co-workers, showing respect for the ideas of others, giving quality effort and responding to instructions and expectations of others. Life-long learning and a commitment to quality products should be the goal of every student and citizen.
