An integrated, interdisciplinary fourth grade unit teaching Illinois history from early times to the Civil War. This unit, designed for fourth graders, is an integrated look at the development of Illinois from early times until the Civil War. By studying about the state in which they live, students will gain a better understanding of their place in the USA, North America, and the world.
