An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on the Natural History of the San Francisco Bay Region All species (plant/animal/man) must learn to adapt to their habitat. Failure to do so results in extinction. This unit looks at plant, animal and population groups that successfully and unsuccessfully adapted to the environment in this region.
