From plows and cows, to satellities and megabytes ..........the grass is always greener on the other side, or is it?

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic study of Agriculture Practices and their effects on the Environment, for the tenth grade. Agriculture is one of California's most economic products, and preserving natural resource is paramount to its success. This interdisciplinary/integrated unit was designed to give students an understanding of the philosophies and methods behind agricultural practices past, present and future. This curriculum covers agricultural production, environmental impact, and the moral and ethical issues surrounding sustainable agriculture. This unit was also designed to insprire future agriculturists, by causing students to think about issues related to agricultural production and to seek out solutions to agricultural problems.
