From Russia With Love...of Zion Zionism-Pragmatism-Chutzpahism?

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary Thematic Study of How the Rise of Nationalism was mirrored by the Jewish National Movement. In 1948 the dream of the homeland, returning to Zion, became a reality for the Jewish people. Jewish students of this generation need to know and understand the events and issues that have led to the fruition of this dream. As these events did not occur in a vacuum students will learn the context of world events that shaped the movement of Jewish nationalism. Students will identify themselves as a link between past, present and future struggles to kindle one's own identity.
