From Steeple Spires to Chimney Tops: The Wright Stuff or What Dreams Are Made Of!
An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on Architecture for Intermediate Students Architecture is central to the lives of people everywhere. An essential element in a society, it is often invisible and taken for granted by the very people who live with it. Architecture shapes our lives and reflects the values we hold dear. This interdisciplinary/integrated unit is designed to give students a closer look at the forces and beliefs that create our living spaces. They will understand how geography, technology, and lifestyle affect the architecture of a society. This unit allows students to fulfill the California Department of Education Applied Learning Standards.
