An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit Examining Space and Astronomy That Is Aligned With The Alaska Content Standards for Middle School As nations come together to build a space station, it becomes evident that space is the next frontier both for expansion and exploration. This interdisciplinary unit is designed to provide students with a basic understanding of astronomy and space so that the students can relate the past and present to their futures.
