Geo Galileo, It's a Heliocentric World After All! or If the Sun is the Center of the Universe, then What Am I?

An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on Astronomy. This unit is important because it teachers the relationship between astronomical science and everyday human concepts such as the Roman calendar, Mayan Calendar, day/night, light years, rocket science, music, film, careers, history, and education itself. It allows children to see the integral role that space exploration has played in our lives for hundreds of years and how it continues to do so today. It also gives children the ability to better understand the concepts related to space exploration/astronomy by connecting these ideas to the student's lives.
