An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on building healthy relationships This unit is important because it teaches high school students about building healthy relationships. Encouraging these types of relationships, between different groups of students, within the classroom will help students to feel connected to school. Encouraging students to communicate and cooperate with individuals different than themselves (diverse populations) will promote Diversity and help students to realize similarities between groups. It is important for students to have the skills to make and keep healthy relationships throughout life.
