An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Study of the culture, government and history of wooster, Ohio. The organization and history of the city of Wooster serves as a model of democratic government and United States culture. Students will become aware of the different cultures and the history of their town and how it was shaped into the Wooster of today. Using the hometown of our students gives meaning and relevance to historical, societal, geographical, and governmental concepts. It is important for students to understand where they live in connection to the rest of the world. This unit addresses many grade level indicators for the state of Ohio.
