An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on Ocean Habitats and Inhabitants for Grade 1 The ocean is one frontier that is not fully understood or explored yet. Young children relate to fish and water environments and can learn concepts related to the ocean. This first grade unit on oceans will help to develop the students understanding of ocean habitats and its inhabitants.
