If You Can't Stand the Heat, Get Out of the Solar System or 2001: An Earth Odyssey

An integrated, interdisciplinary, thematic unit on Sun-Earth Relationships. Understanding the relationship between our sun and the earth is important as we move closer to becoming a true global community. As members of the community, students, should recognize the similarities of their known world to the vast expanse beyond their experiences. This interdisciplinary/ integrated unit is designed to give students the basic knowledge about the earth's position from the sun, meteorology, and climates of the earth so that they can understand their natural world.
