An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic Unit on Developing and Maintaining Friendships For Grade 1 People, in all phases of their lives, place importance on friendship. Making friends and nurturing friendships are skills one will use throughout one's personal and professional life. Business leaders now tell us that they seek to employ not only those who have raw knowledge, but those who can cooperate, respect others' ideas and compromise; all these are social skills used in maintaining friendships.
