I'm Standing on Rocky Ground or Aunt FOSSIL It's Not My FAULT I peeled off the CRUST!
An Integrated, Interdisciplinary, Thematic, Standards-based Unit on Solid Earth and Earth in Time and Space. Students will discover that our earth is in a constant state of change causing major geological events. Students will demonstrate how earthquakes, volcanoes and mountain building result from these motions. Students will describe the earth's layers and three types of plate boundaries. Rock forming minerals will be identified, the rock cycle explained and rock samples classified. Students will also understand erosion and be able to compare the earth's magnetic field to a man made magnet.
