Investigating Intolerance in America 1865-2000
An Interdisciplinary Unit for Middle School The foundations of the United States are rooted in the premise that all men are created equal and endowed with certain unalienable rights; however, the United States has not always lived up to its own standards. Students need to understand various examples of intolerance in the United States between 1965 and the present. This interdisciplinary, integrated, thematic unit will study the United States' intolerance toward specific races and groups of people.
